Seniors and Families: Traveling to NRG Stadium

Students traveling to NRG Stadium should park through Gates 8 or Gate 9 on Kirby.  Type in the address: 8825 Kirby Drive or 8849 Kirby Drive, Houston, TX 77054 for specific driving directions.

Families are invited to park in parking spaces closest to the area Blue Lot #17, #18, #22, and #23.

Thanks to the generosity of your YES campus, one free parking pass is being provided per family for parking in the Blue Lot at NRG Stadium.   This pass entitles one car to park free in Blue Lot of NRG Stadium. This is for entry only, no in-and-out access.

Since you are only receiving ONE free parking pass, it is recommended that you and your family travel together. If you and your parents drive separately, one of you will need to be prepared to pay for parking. NRG’s parking website states “that Parking rate is $20 per space. Parking rates are subject to change without notice.” NRG Parking attendants are cashless.

Your family must bring this parking permit with you to NRG Stadium – if they don’t, they must pay for parking and will not be reimbursed by YES Prep.    

Colleges, Donors, and Community Supports

College Representatives, Donors, and Community supporters traveling to NRG Stadium should park through Gates 10 on Kirby.  Type in the address: 8600 Kirby Drive, Houston, TX 77054 for specific driving directions.

Families are invited to park in parking spaces closest to the area Blue Lot #17, #18, #22, and #23.
 

Public Transportation Options

The Houston Metro and its METRORail operates various routes near and around NRG Park. The Houston Metro and METRORail is a viable transportation option for NRG Park events and operate various routes near and around the complex.

The Fannin South Transit Center is a short ride from NRG.  To learn about getting to NRG on Public Transit visit: https://www.nrgpark.com/public-transportation/ 

Items that are prohibited at NRG: No outside food or drink, noisemakers, helium balloons or flowers will be allowed. Families may only bring in a diaper bag and a medical bag, if necessary.

All bags will be checked and must be smaller than 11x17 inches.

NRG Park may refuse entry of individuals in possession of prohibited items including, but not limited to:

• all weapons and firearms,
• all handguns,
• air horns,
• video recorders,
• professional camera equipment, photography lenses over 3” in length,
• whistles,
• sealed packages of any kind,
• bottles, cans, coolers, containers,
• fireworks,
• Frisbees,
• inflatable objects (beach balls, swim equipment, etc.), 
• illegal substances,
• laser pointers/pens,
• outside food or beverage
• remote controlled cars,
• Hoverboards,
• Drones,
• binocular cases and camera cases.
• This list is in no way exhaustive, and other items may be prohibited at the sole discretion of NRG Stadium Management.

Younger shiblings, including children under 36” are allowed into NRG Stadium without a ticket, but will need to sit on the lap of their parent/guardian.  Older siblings who need their own chair will be required to be ticketed.

Individuals in wheelchairs may enter in the General Admission or VIP Family entrance with all other guests. NRG Stadium is equipped with wheelchair seating. Once the individual arrives in the wheelchair, an usher will direct them to the wheelchair seating. For information about accessibility at NRG click here.
